Am on call with Vivi while she does a CPSC355 (Arm Assembly) assignment
I did EthGlobal SF over the last few days and won 3k usd. I thought I’d get 5-10 at least, but I lost all the AI prizes I thought I’d win, and won prizes from two L2’s (Airdao, Hedera) which I didn’t expect. An odd experience, but whatever; I guess it was fun.
I spoke to Dio at length on like 5 hours of sleep over the past 48 hours. But he was super candid about how he got the thiel fellowship; he knew a guy who got him an interview, and then killed the interview. He’s a really good storyteller.
I’ve thought this since the Paradigm fellowship, but I think I’m too short term minded. Seeing the way Eugene Chen and Uma talked just made me feel completely ngmi; in the way that if I could make 10m or whatever my number is.
But to think of there being an endgame “victory” is a fairly bullshit idea; what’s purely monetary victory worth?
