I got sick again! Went through an entire box of kleenex in the first few hours of the day. Brilliant.

I met with Shez. Getting to Fenyk was a bit of a scramble, as Dad was out walking the dog. It just so happened that Ann was dropping off a pot of soup for Mom, so she brought me to Fenyk. She complimented my leather boots. I offered to buy her coffee in return for the ride, but she declined.

Shez was fairly frustrated with school; he dedicated a ton of time to Rocket League these days. Pretty understandable.

Fabio asked me to rerun eth-phishing-detect cleaning, so I spent a couple hours on that. I’m only really doing it so I am certain that he owes me a big favour; it’s unpaid and would cost a Blowfish engineer a week to do (I could probably bill $2k and he’d do it). I’ll be spending that favour shortly to get him to send O-1 documentation. It’s a bit painful how much effort I’ve put into the O-1, just to know that I’ll still be at the mercy of bureaucracy. Well, such is the life of being a Canadian.

Yesterday, REDACTED dm’d me about the renewal of a possible Blowfish acquisition. Truthfully, I can’t help but feel a bit deserving of my entire vest if Blowfish gets acquired. I built up an absolutely absurd amount of the product. But it’s whatever, I can’t have regrets, I hated the tail end of my time there, and had a few unexpectedly happy months in San Francisco as a result. Maybe it isn’t a 500k-tradeoff, but it’s somewhat stupid to be upset about it (especially since the acquisition is probably in illiquid, expensive Phantom equity). I just really hate the idea that I put in all the work and didn’t get 2/3rd’s of my reward just because I made an unluckily-timed career move. Such is life.

Not much to say.

I need to fucking make it. Like, really badly. I need to live up to potential.
