Holy shit I actually did WORK for the first time in forever !

Went to a cafe since it’s been way too long since I’ve done work. Have a PR ready for Fabio’s eth-phishing-detect old domain cleaning. Have websocket based fee address tests. Yay. Got a matcha latte that costed ten whole dollars, but whatever, worth it.

I’ve never been to this cafe before, Monogram Cafe by the University District. Was a fairly rainy day, but I like the rain, it smells nice. I saw a cobs bread on the way, and they had some of the best sourdough rolls; the one by Northland always underbakes them so the shell isn’t crunchy. The university district one? Absolutely SLAPS. I bought four. Then I realized I’ll be by this exact same area tomorrow w/ Rachel/Richard, but whatever. I did a quick walk of the way from University District to the University of Calgary foosball tables; I quite liked the walk when Zach took me last summer, so I think I’ll take Rachel/Richard there tomorrow. Quite excited to meet them.

In other news, my dad’s… learning rust? Saw him watching “how to make a rust api with axum” tutorials in his spare time, based af. Gave him my copy of “Rust: The Programming Language”.

PETER THIEL is on Joe Rogan today. So I decided to go on a run to listen to it, and I’m glad I did — I haven’t been keeping up with running in the past 4wk. Did an easy 16.5km @ 5:41/km, 148bpm. I’m really glad I did; it felt great, no moments of difficulty, and I feel refreshed afterwards. I’m going to get back into running significantly again. The podcast was super mid though, it was literally Egypt/Epstein conspiracy theories for literally 2 hours.
